Phineas and Ferb’s Dr. Doofenshmirtz will be taking over this year’s D23 Expo with The Waffle-inator, a spectacular 40-foot high interactive game. Kids, tweens and families can enjoy the life-size invention to play The Phineas and Ferb Waffle-inator Challenge over the D23 Expo’s three days. The Waffle-inator combines physical and digital worlds (and simulated waffles) in an epic showdown to free Agent P from the clutches of Dr. Doofenshmirtz. To play The Phineas and Ferb Waffle-inator Challenge fans will man one of four colorful, full-scale Waffe-inators to unleash flying foam waffles and to move Phineas and Ferb up a towering screen to free a trapped Agent P before time runs out. The Phineas and Ferb Waffle-inator Challenge will be located in the Grand Plaza near the D23 Expo entrance on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The Waffle-inator is depicted in Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel, in which Phineas and Ferb team up with the Marvel Super Heroes to help them regain their powers and defeat Marvel Super Villains and Dr. Doofenshmirtz. This ‘epic battle’ is where “The Waffle-inator” device comes into play. This special episode premieres on Friday, August 16 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel and Sunday, August 25 (10:00 a.m. ET/PT) on Disney XD. Speaking of Marvel Universe, Adrian Pasdar, Drake Bell, Fred Tatasciore, Roger Craig Smith, Bumper Robinson and Laura Bailey will join the line-up of stars across Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior who will meet fans at the Expo. On the ABC side of the house, Executive Producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz will be featured at a panel titled ABC’s Once Upon A Time: Behind The Fairytale on Saturday, August 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Stage 23. Eddy and Adam will talk about exciting developments for season three of Once Upon A Time as well as their new fall series, Once Upon A Time In Wonderland, which takes place in the Victorian England of Alice and the strange new land that exists on the other side of the rabbit hole. The D23 Expo show floor will also feature the Jolly Roger to allow guests to explore the famous pirate ship from Once Upon a Time and view original props from the set. This exhibit will feature Snow White, Prince Charming, the Evil Queen, Captain Hook, and Emma Swan (and Emma’s red leather jacket). Every guest who boards the ship gets to visit the ‘Evil Queen’s vault’ and will receive a surprise gift from ‘Regina’s wall of hearts’. This year’s San Diego Comic-Con featured a similar exhibit, and guests were given one pin from an exclusive Once Upon a Time pin set. A stunning display of exclusive gowns inspired by Disney’s iconic Princesses will make their U.S. debut at the D23 Expo inside the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives exhibit. Included are works inspired by the individual stories of the Disney Princesses by Ralph & Russo (Tiana), Versace (Cinderella), Elie Saab (Aurora), Marchesa (Ariel), Escada (Jasmine), Missoni (Mulan), Roberto Cavalli (Pocahontas), Jenny Packham (Rapunzel), Valentino (Belle), and Oscar de la Renta (Snow White). These dresses were first showcased in a set of window displays at Harrods, the luxury store in Knightsbridge, London, during the 2012 holiday season.
